Big Cat is a comfortable air-conditioned 35 metre catamaran with spacious interior cabins and a relaxed atmosphere. Travel time to Green Island is just over one hour from Cairns.

Full Day Tour:  Big Cat departs daily from Reef Fleet Terminal at 09:00am, returning at 5:00pm.  Check-in half hour prior at the Big Cat counter

Full Day Tour Includes: 

  • Pak 1:  Return ferry transfers, Glass Bottom Boat OR Snorkel equipment
  • Pak 2:  Return ferry transfers, Glass Bottom Boat OR Snorkel equipment and Hot/Cold Buffet lunch

Optional Extras at an additional charge:

Explorer the underwater world of the Great Barrier Reef in air-conditioned comfort on our Semi-Submersible… without even getting wet!   Seated below water level, passengers are treated to a divers view of the coral reef and marine life with informative commentary by the crew and see the lively fish feeding. This vessel seats 27 passengers and cruises for 30 minutes.  Semi-Sub is $20 when pre-booked in a package or $30 if booked on the day of the tour. 

Scuba Diving
No experience is necessary to take a fully supervised introductory dive and explore the Great Barrier Reef and its amazing marine life. Certified divers can enjoy spectacular dives at our specially selected sites.

Seawalker Helmet Dive
Seawalker at Green Island is quick, easy, and is perfect for non-swimmers or anyone else who might not be confident in water! It’s quick – 45 to 60 minutes from start of guest briefing until finished and back on dry land. It’s easy – no new skills to learn, no swimming, no equipment to manipulate or get in the way. It’s safe – our guides are always in the water beside you to ensure you or anyone else who is not confident. It’s low stress – no complicated equipment to use, no water on your face (you can wear glasses or contacts), your makeup stays on and your hair stays dry! 

Please note:

  • Scuba diving and Seawalker available on full day departures. Cert Diving only available on 9am departure.
  • Minimum age for Seawalker and Scuba Diving is 12years old
  • Certain medical conditions, medications and height restrictions may preclude some people from participating in optional diving activities.
