Kuranda in a Day - Self Drive: Spend as much or little time in Kuranda as you wish. In the morning drive your car the Skyrail Station at Smithfield, a 20 minute drive North of Cairns city. Park here for the day at no charge. A coach will transfer you from here to Freshwater Connection Railway Station. Journey to Kuranda by Train then have free time in Kuranda. At a pre-booked time that fits with the number of hours you require in Kuranda head to the Skyrail Kuranda Station and journey back down the mountain.
